Prepare for a scathing takedown of the ICE agents as SNL's Pete Davidson returns to the stage!
In a bold move, Davidson took center stage during the latest cold open, donning the persona of Trump's Border Czar, Tom Homan. Little did he know, this role would expose the absurdity of the ICE agency's actions.
"Let's discuss force usage," Homan began, addressing the ICE officers. "When is the right time to use force?"
The response from one agent, played by Jeremy Culhane, was immediate: "Right away?"
"Think of the opposite," Homan replied, setting up a clever trap.
Another agent, portrayed by Andrew Dismukes, caught on quickly: "Preemptively?"
"Not quite," Homan clarified. "It's a trick question. We don't want to use force. Our job is to keep America safe from... what, exactly?"
James Austin Johnson's earnest agent chimed in: "Don Lemon?"
Homan's frustration boiled over: "You're making me look like the reasonable one! I'm the family separator, the bribe-taker!"
The cold open revealed a damning truth: Homan had hired untrained, aggressive agents, and now he was facing the consequences.
"You wanted this to happen," Johnson's agent accused. "You gave us guns and no training."
"Don't start thinking now," Homan retorted, unable to escape the reality of his own creation.
But here's where it gets controversial... The cold open also hinted at the recent Epstein file release, suggesting a cover-up attempt.
When an ICE agent mentioned Epstein, Homan's response was telling: "We did this to distract from those files."
And this is the part most people miss: the SNL sketch isn't just comedy; it's a scathing commentary on the state of immigration enforcement in the US.
What do you think? Is SNL's take on ICE too harsh, or is it a necessary wake-up call? Let us know in the comments!
