Rikishi on WWE Ticket Prices & Hall of Famer Access! (Tough Times for Fans?) (2026)

The Rising Cost of Wrestling: A Legend's Perspective

In a recent episode of the Rikishi Fatu Off The Top Podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi opened up about the evolving landscape of professional wrestling, particularly the impact of rising ticket prices on fans and families. This issue hits close to home for Rikishi, who has encountered challenges in securing tickets for his own loved ones.

Rikishi reflected on the industry's transformation in 2025, noting a "whole new vibe" and expressing satisfaction with the improved financial prospects and schedules for active wrestlers. However, he drew a stark contrast between the internal improvements and the external experience of fans, especially when it comes to ticket accessibility.

"As far as I feel the paydays and the company's structure, I have concerns about the ticket prices under TKO," Rikishi stated. He shared his personal struggles in obtaining tickets for his family, a process that has become increasingly complex.

"Even my family members now can't just call me for tickets; it's too difficult. There are so many hoops to jump through... Despite my legends contract with WWE, I'm not with the company full-time, and yet family and friends can't get comp tickets anymore."

Rikishi highlighted that while discounts might be offered, the base ticket price has skyrocketed, making a percentage reduction negligible for working-class families. He painted a hypothetical scenario of a family of five, suggesting that the costs are a significant barrier for many.

"I could try for a discount, but I don't even know what that means nowadays. A $1,000 ticket is still a lot for a family of five, especially for a working-class family. Back in the day, tickets were $25, $50, and front row was $75. Now, you'd have to win the lottery to afford that."

Rikishi clarified that while he understands fans' concerns, he has no control over ticket pricing. "I hear you guys, but I'm not the guy who decides these things."

But here's where it gets controversial... Rikishi also shared a recent encounter with security at a WWE venue, an incident that highlighted the stricter protocols now in place. Despite his Hall of Fame status and being the father of Jey and Jimmy Uso, Rikishi was stopped at the entrance because his name wasn't on a specific security list.

"I was coming to see my kids, and security, bless their hearts, was just doing their job. They had this long list, and I said 'Rikishi', but my name wasn't on it. I knew 'Fatu' was on there because I have three boys."

Ultimately, Rikishi had to present his physical Hall of Fame ring and pass to gain entry. "I showed them my Hall of Fame ring, and they said, 'Oh, that's all you needed. Go ahead.'"

Reflecting on this incident and the broader changes, Rikishi believes Hall of Famers should be granted smoother access. "It has definitely changed. I think all Hall of Famers should get the red carpet treatment when they come to WWE events. We helped build that company."

This raises the question: Should legends like Rikishi have easier access to tickets and venues? What are your thoughts on the evolving landscape of professional wrestling and its impact on fans and families? Share your opinions in the comments below!
