The Evergreen State Kit is a new primary jersey designed to honor the spirit, color, and culture of Washington and the Sounders. Rooted in Seattle's rich heritage and its enduring football obsession, this kit embodies the timeless connection between nature, community, and the beautiful game. It pays homage to the RAVE Foundation, the club's charitable arm, and its mission to build soccer fields for free play, empower youth, and strengthen communities.
As part of the club's Purpose Beyond the Pitch initiative, the Evergreen State Kit will donate up to $50,000 from the first 30 days of sales to the RAVE Foundation. This donation supports the foundation's belief that play is not a privilege and that every child deserves a free place to play, belong, and dream. The kit is inspired by the beauty, simplicity, and class of the world's game, featuring clean lines, minimalist design, and a deep connection to Rave Green and the community it represents.
Rave Green serves as the kit's primary color, complemented by subtle blue and aqua accents that reflect Washington's forests and waterways. A premium flat-knit pattern on the cuffs and collar adds a refined visual texture, enhancing the overall finish. The design is completed with intentional details, including a custom 'The Evergreen State' jock tag and an outline of Washington with 52 sparks on the outer back neck, symbolizing the 52 mini-pitches the RAVE Foundation aims to build across the state by 2026.
This jersey is a reflection of stories like that of Seattle music artist Oblé Reed, who grew up in the city, attended the inaugural Sounders match, and learned that soccer could be a pathway to dreaming bigger.
